Electrical Accredited Inspection Body Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd has more than twenty years of experience as an Accredited
Inspection Body working with the Department of Labour.
In 2020 the company utilised its vast experience in the testing and inspection of electrical installations to become the only
Accredited Inspection Body in Southern Africa to offer certification services when it embarked on the issue of ISO/IEC
17020 (SANS 17020) Inspection Certificates, together with authenticated Certificates of Compliance of an Accredited
Inspection Body (AIB).
Our function is envisioned to replace the inspection and certification functions of previous Utility Inspectors in past years. Our
service offerings will also be enhanced by providing a support mechanism to the electrical industry, using our years of
experience to assist in electrical compliance and bringing in ISO system standards into the certification process.
ACCREDITATION
Electrical Accredited Inspection Body Southern Africa (Pty) (t/a EAIBSA) Ltd is an official SANAS accredited inspection body as per ISO/IEC 17020:2102 (SANS 17020 – Conformity assessment – Requirements for the operations of various types of bodies performing Inspections). The purpose is to act in the interest of the client as a third-party verification agent to the contractor in terms of any non-compliances.
